Step Up For MS

It was early when I arose this Sunday, 6am to be precise. The reason for this was not restlessness. Oh no, I would have loved to have stayed in bed, but I didn’t. For this morning was Step Up For MS, in which I would climb 1096 stairs for ~~the lulz~~ charity. And as well all know, I’m all up in charity’s grill.

Let me just say, it was an epic, daring climb. People were dropping off like flies, yet I held fast and pushed on through the pain and the dehydration and severe chafing to finish with a time of 22 minutes and 36 seconds. Quite respectable if I do say so myself.

Now you may lavish your praise unto me!

Airport

I’m finally in the departures area at Birmingham airport after being dropped off by my Aunty and Uncle. It’s sad to have to go back so soon, I should like to have done more things but I suppose I did a lot more than I normally do
It’s been a sad last couple of days as on Monday my cousin’s boyfriend of 10 years passed away. What makes it worse is that he was, as far as I and everyone else�knew, on the road to recovery.
I’ve got about 5 minutes left on this mabob and I’m not sure what else to type. I get back at 1am Perth time on Sunday after flying for 21 hours including a 3 hour stopover in Dubai (yay Dunkin’ Donuts :D).�I got up at 8am this morning which means I’ll have been awake for about.. 34 hours by the time I touch down in Perth International Airport, glad I don’t have work again till Tuesday *sigh*

Back To Kingsland

Finally back in Kingsland, which is good. I was starting to grow weary of Brenda’s constant blah blah (she can talk and talk and talk).

So anyway, visiting Martin’s school was interesting. I had the most fun in the ICT department with a bloke named Nick. He was the guy that usually had to go out and see what problems were in classrooms etc. So we did that for an hour. Next I went to a Maths lesson, it was Intro Calc.. waaaaaay over my head. Then I can’t remember, it was a couple of days ago

Sunday night I went out with Gareth who is Martin and Brenda’s son, making him my second cousin’s son.. I think.. But we went out to a pub and met some of his friends. After about 4 pints of Foster’s (yes, I drank it, so shoot me), we went to another pub where I had a shot of jager and 4 pints of Guiness. So I beat Gareth by 1 ^_^

The next afternoon we went out to Leicester hospital to see Kelly and David. It was a long drive. David is better, but he’s still very tired/weak and has trouble breathing. Long road to recovery unfortunately. Kelly’s at home at the moment, which is good, because I haven’t seen her in over 10 years.

Not much else to type, I’m not in a storytelling mood really. Later

Birmingham

Currently I’m in Birmingham visiting my Dad’s cousin Martin and his wife Brenda. Lovely people who know a lot about the area in which they live. They have taught me the joy of Sudoku, so now I’m one of those types. I’m picking it up slowly.

I actually bought 2 Sudoku books (2 for 1 deal at a book store) and was sitting in a coffee shop doing one in pen, but became enraged when I failed miserably on my first ever solo attempt. After said rage, a nice man said “Well if you can’t do it, what hope is there for the rest of us?” and ran away crying.

Today was an interesting day, I visited the court in which work related things are decided (unfair dismissal hearings and the like). First I met a nice man named Paul who got annoyed that the people who were meant to be in his court didn’t turn up, he thinks they settled without telling him, I tutted. Paul then took me to another Judge type person named Colin who was rather pleased to see me. According to Brenda, I was the talk of the office, everyone was all excited to teach me up about their Judicial system. So I had a chat with Colin who explained the case before him (some bus driver had gotten fired for supposedly taking a wizz in full view of his bus, in legalese) and pointed me in to the room where I should sit. So just as I opened the door, everyone jumped out of their seats. I felt rather flattered until I realised they were standing because Colin had entered the room. But anyway, Colin’s job was to decide whether the matter should go before tribunal or if there was no way Wizzy McGee could win and strike it out. He let it go through, for the lulz methinks.

After that I went back and talked to Paul, who showed me around a bit and took me to the room where Pauline (one of the other Judges) and Brenda were listening to a case that had been ongoing for a number of days. After about 5 minutes someone spilled some water and we went on recess. Then Brenda showed me downstairs and pointed me in the direction of where I should explore.

I explored for an hour or so then came back and had some lunch. Other than that nothing really interesting happened.

Tomorrow I’m visiting Martin’s school. So I best be off to bed, don’t want to be tardy. Night!

Doo Doo Da Doo

Back again.

So over the weekend I went to my Mum’s friend Christina’s house. She was a bridesmaid at my Mum’s wedding. They live nearish to Birmingham which meant I got to hang around with.. ready for this? PEOPLE MY OWN AGE. It’s true, she has a daughter a bit younger than me (Becky) and a son older than me (Dave).

First night I was there, went around with Dave and his mates to a pub/walking the streets/acting live chavs. Was fun, they admired my fast drinking ability (as Timothy has done many a time).

Then on Saturday I went around with Becky and her boyfriend Dan to Sutton park where we drank and played frisbee. The people I met were awesome and I wish I was staying longer. I will now list the ones I remember and why they were awesome:

Dan; picked up a guy and dropped him in Rosa’s vomit
Derrick; gangsta
Mini-Derrick; 12 years old, also gangsta, drinks like a fish
Frisbee Jesus; I can’t remember his name, but he’s good at frisbee
Sam; emo kiddy, sounds like Ringo Starr
Ben; ginger emo kiddy
Llama; wooly, like a Llama
Ian; hairy, king of sarcasms
Beth; very cute ;D
Rosa; got trashed, but refused to believe it, preceeded to yack at the park, on the bus and in Aldridge
Dude; the guy that I played frisbee with for the whole afternoon, according to Beth I’m the Australian equivalent of him

That is all I can remember, there were more, but I can’t remember anything memorable. After that we went to Aldridge and had a walk around. I bought some gingerbread men and discovered that neither Ben nor Beth like them.. I suspect they’re communists.
